View. Location Helpful reception staff and Manager. Breakfasts. Good fan and A/C

Broken taps in bathroom. Damaged sliding door catch. Distance from shower to towel rail!. No suitable shaver or adaptor in bathroom. Had to shave in bedroom with no mirror.

The breakfast was delicious and had a great variety. The view from the room was spectacular as was the view from the infinity pool. The staff were very attentive especially the manager Marcus. Irfan was also very helpful. The location feels far out of town at first but it’s actually within walking distance to the temple, kandyan culture centre and the city.

I was trying to call the airline about my lost luggage but was unable to ring through the switchboard as it wouldn’t connect.

The hotel is beautiful! The location is perfect, it has the view to the whole city and to the natural surrounding. Pool is also spectacular. People are so kind and polite. I would definitely love to come back here. I would reccomend this place to everyone visiting Kandy for few days.

The dining area could be a bit cleaner, especially windows, for the sake of the clear view on the beautiful surroundings...

Excellent location, surrounded by trees. Walking distance to Kandy town. Well maintained garden, rooms, pool, etc.

Didn't have facility to wash vehicle. Buffet spread didn't change much between the meals.

The room was big and clean, and quite comfy. There are amazing views of Kandy from the swimming pool. The girl in the reception was super kind and facilitated our stay a lot.

The buffet from the restaurant could be improved.

I liked the beautiful view of Kandy. We spent New Year's Eve there and the hotel absolutely stood up for itself. We could choose from many kinds of food. The staff were nice and their primary goal was to make us feel great.

The pool water was a bit colder than expected.

The hotel staff tried very hard and we friendly and helpful. The view was very nice.

Mold in our room. Roof leaked water overnight from some source, enough water the the paint was saturatuted and bubbling. The cleanliness was not to US hotel standards, the towels given for our use were folded yet still wet.

Lovely pool bar and great restaurant. The staff are friendly and the hotel is a short walk to the main lake. A solid 3 star fairly basic.

The property is ageing and the rooms are starting to show this - by no means is this a 4 star hotel. We moved rooms as on the top floor there is a loud generator - the toilet also smelt of sewage. Our upgraded room was lovely but the musty smell as the hotel is old still lingers. Poor value overall - nicer in the area for similar price.

On booking we booked a room with a balcony on arrival we were given a room with a fully enclosed glass balcony it was so hot in there we were unable to use it

Our room was spacious, comfortable, relaxing and had the most stunning views over Kandy and the surrounding mountains. Daily visits from the local monkeys to our balcony was a bonus. The staff were the friendliest and most delightful in Sri Lanka, particularly adored Lakmal. Food was excellent at breakfast and dinner with wide choice of local and western food. Short and easy walk in to the bustle of Kandy.

Only sugggestion would be a better wine list, otherwise an almost perfect hotel!

A beautiful room. We were upgraded to the suite overlooking the pool. The dinner was lovely.

The outside area is lovely, but our room in general was a little tired. We have paid a lot less in Sri Lanka for nicer rooms. Our evening meal was good, we didn't particularly enjoy the "serenaders" standing at the table, would have been better in our opinion if they had played in the background. Our stay was spoilt at the end, as on the website it clearly stated free shuttle to and from the railway station, we emailed to say what time our train came in but no shuttle, so on our departure we asked if we could have a free shuttle, (cost wasn't important, but if they offer the service they should honour it), got the impression they didn't want to give us that service, but called for a tuk tuk. When we arrived at the station, the driver (employed by the hotel) watched as my wife struggled out with her rucksack, not offering to help then just drove off without saying a word! So rude. Will not return to this hotel. One other point, clearly said on the bill we had been offered the option to pay in sterling, but they told us we had yo pay in dollars!

Big hotel, spacious rooms, functional and clean, well located

The atmosphere is not special, it feels like a big concrete hotel, but good for a night or two.

There is only a buffett available for dinner. No other choice. Also as soon as i check in they ask for money which i found rude.

They provided us a car and driver to drop us to Colombo and we did not have a good feeling with the driver, this is because he did not speak English very well so he was very quiet, but also because he was not driving very well.

Great location for lake, temple, shopping, restaurants (Simply chilled lounge, Muslim cafe and Empire cafe, dance shows), cemetery-all 5-10 mins walk. Great buffet dinner and breakfast. Great pool, fairly spacious rooms and modern bathrooms. However, if travelling with kids/teenagers, no facilities if its raining (which it does a lot in Kandy!) Stuck in your room...
